Who are you, and what is your role at ComputerCare?

Owen, Systems Engineer

What made you want to work with us?

I have always worked in the IT environment, and having recently moved back to Wanganui from Melbourne I was in search of a job with a well-established and friendly company. My brother Joseph had been working for ComputerCare for several years and suggested I would fit right in. After being introduced to the Management Team it was a no-brainer, ComputerCare ticked all my boxes J

What are you most excited about to achieve here?

I’m looking forward to further developing my IT Skills/Career and learning from the rest of the team at ComputerCare

What was your journey like that led you where you are now?

I was always interested in computers from a young age, building them from old bits and pieces at home. I started work experience at a local computer repair business and was still there 7 years later! I moved on to focusing on Photocopier Maintenance and continued with that for about 5 more years learning a lot along the way. I then started working for NCR Australia as a Field Engineer primarily looking after their fleet of Self Service Checkouts. And now… I am here

What are the small things that make your day better?

The sun shining, a nice message from someone, being recognised for accomplishments

If you could have 1 superpower, what would it be?

To know and understand the truth re everything. Knowledge is power!
